Aeration & Seeding

Dear customers,

As weather begins to cool, the time will be upon us to begin aeration and seeding for our fescue lawns.

Aeration is the process of plugging small holes throughout your lawn to allow for a better flow of air, water, and nutrients. The main goal of aeration is to reduce soil compaction, to allow your lawn to grow thick and vibrant.

Here in the Carolinas we have a lot of clay soil, which is more easily compacted due to the layer of organic matter that rests on top of it (where your grass grows). By aerating your lawn all necessary nutrients, air, and water will be able to reach the roots of your grass much easier.

In addition to aerating we will also lay down fresh grass seed, to give the lawn an extra kick from the start. This will ensure that the following season will yield noticeable results.

Without yearly aeration, lawns growing in clay soil will wither and weaken due to lack of necessities. This is why we recommended early fall aeration each year to make sure your lawn is always the best on the block!

If you have any questions, or are interested in these services, please reach out to us!

Sincerely,

Primavera Lawn Care.
